Depending on the type of ticket you have, we need different information from you. Use the appeal form and attach files as shown below.
School ticket
A student on their way to elementary school has the right to travel even without a ticket. This applies only to journeys to the first lesson of the day. During the school day, the student must request a temporary ticket to be issued. A student who cannot present their school ticket during an inspection should be informed about the possibility of presenting it later and will be noted for an additional fee. The student must then contact Västtrafik's customer service within ten days and attach a photocopy of the valid school ticket. The surcharge is 50 SEK for those aged 15-17 and 150 SEK for those aged 18.
Student certificate
To have your surcharge reduced to SEK 150, you need to attach a screenshot from your student ID showing that you have the student travel symbol and ticket. Also attach a picture of your ID.
Other tickets
To have your surcharge reduced to SEK 150, we need to verify that you had a valid ticket at the time of the check. Use the appeal form. The ticket must be registered on My Account and belong to you who received the surcharge. The ticket must also be activated before the time of the ticket inspection. For the ticket to be valid, you need to have purchased and activated your digital ticket before boarding the vehicle or have checked in your card in connection with boarding.
